Our crucible can withstand temperatures up to 1300 degrees Celsius it can be used in kilns, propane melting furnaces, electric melting furnaces. It is used to carry a heavy mass of metal by dint of manufactured from Clay Graphite which has high thermal stability and conductivity. Clay graphite is far better than silicon carbide graphite in this particular size melting pot for melting hard metal like aluminum, brass, etc. 🌟 PRE-HEAT PROCEDURE 🌟 For new crucibles and after long cool off phase of a melting pot - Heat empty & slowly to 390°F to eliminate any moisture, then heat on low power to 600°C OR up to red hot condition. ♻ SAFETY ✔ At the time of pouring melted metal for safety reasons, proper clothing and equipment must be worn. ✔ Any residual moisture of the melting cup must be removed with furnace flow before use. ✔ Ensure that no moisture or volatile materials are introduced into the melt. ✔ The hot crucible should not be placed down on a cold surface and should only be used for the purpose for which it is designed. ♻ CARE ✦ Store crucible in a dry and warm area ✦ Do not roll or stack one crucible inside another ✦ Do not let solidify your metal in the crucible, before removing it from the furnace. ☻ PRODUCT DETAILS: ♦ Dimension: Outside: 7" (D) x 8" (H), Inside: 5.25" (D) x 7.5" (H), Bottom Outside: 5.5” (D), Thickness: 0.5". ♦ Material: Clay Graphite ♦ Capacity: 12 Kg. ☢ NOTE: Crucible should be preheated before use to remove moisture and hot furnace cup should not be placed down on a cold or wet surface, it should only be used for the purpose for which it is designed, else it can be a fracture.
